The Peaceful Dinosaur

When the power of love overcomes the love of power,
the world will know peace.

I saw the complete skeleton of a brontosaurus the other day.  One thighbone weighed over five hundred pounds.  Yet this enormous creature was probably a very gentle soul. Because of its weight, it spent a lot of time in the water, and survived by eating enormous amounts of soft greens that grew there.

We are so small next to a brontosaurus, yet look how destructive we can be.  How does one make sense out of it all?  Why is our little species into killing each other and many other forms of life, while the enormous brontosaurus was only interested in eating greens?

I know there were aggressive dinosaurs that killed other dinosaurs, and I accept the fact that nature requires a cycle of life and death to sustain itself.  But why does humankind choose to destroy?  The bigger we get, the more we threaten others with our power.  I do not have a quick and easy solution.  I do know that dinosaurs have come and gone, and we will be gone, too, unless we change our way of living and choose to live in peace and not in conflict.

You have the power to make a difference. Choose love and peace.

Peace,
