This is from a patient years ago. She was dying of cancer and had been born with bone deformities. She didn’t want to die hating her body. She took pictures of her naked body lying in front of a giant mirror and said she was doing this and loving her body every day.
THE CANCER WENT AWAY AND HER DEFORMITIES IMPROVED.
SHE DIDN’T DIE
So do that and love your body.
Peace,

Hi Bernie –
Oh such great news to hear your voice again! Today I began a new practice from the Buddhist faith and it feels really good. As I do my gentle movements, whether it be my stretches, walking, breathing, or my physiotherapy routine, I pay attention to that part of my body and I thank it for everything it has done for me. It’s so easy to complain about my aching back or my back is killing me, but that doesn’t help my back which has supported me without a vacation for 72 years. So now I tell my back wow, you are such a good friend, strong and dependable for so many years, and you do what I ask as best as you can, even when I ask too much, thank you for all you’ve done and all you’ve been for me. I will take good care of you and try to be a much better friend to you from now on. You are such a gift, bless you, dear back.
I do this all through the day whenever I remember, and it always brings me into peaceful, grateful mindfulness. And you know what? While I’m doing it, I hardly feel any pain or even none at all. I just feel blessed and lucky as heaven.
Have a lovely day, Bernie. May the force be with you! 😄🤩🙏💐
