A man cannot be comfortable without his own approval.
~ Mark Twain
When will you be comfortable with your life? When you can impress others with all the material things you have accumulated and how expensive they are? No, having an expensive chair to recline in will not quiet your mind and allow you to be comfortable. You will never be comfortable while you are concerned with what any other person on this planet thinks about you.
Comfort only comes when you are able to love and accept yourself and the world as it is. When you accept yourself, you are no longer vulnerable and can enjoy stepping out into the world and taking chances. You are not worried about the grade you receive because you are enjoying the challenge of the course you take.
As long as you think about whether you said the right thing, are wearing the right clothes, served the right meal, did a good job, or bought the right car and home, you will never be comfortable.
Stop worrying and caring about what is right in the eyes of others and get comfortable with yourself.

Thanks Bernie! Very timely and pertinent post again! Just the very matter I´ve had some extra struggles with for the last couple of days.

I have been trying not to care about what other people think about me . This is challenging for me.

Bernie has a way of reminding us all that taking care of ourselves is the best way we can be our best for those we care most about. Worry is time and energy spent on things that likely will never happen. Enjoy each day and take time to be happy – no one else can give that to you!

So true Bernie. Thanks for reminding me.
